Not much to tell, really. I like long walks in the park, gazing up at ... wait ... wrong profile.
Still, not much to tell. I've been happily married for 22 years (this year) and am enjoying my life. There is a sacredness in the 'ruts'. Most of the time, we just don't see it. I like movies, music (U2, Flook, & Mingo Fishtrap are some of my favorite bands), Celtic Christianity, smoking my pipe, dinking around on my computer, and being with my wife. Just being with her is one of life's greatest joys.
Speaking of computers, I am an avid evangelist for the Linux distribution, Ubuntu. It's a free operating system (OS) on par with Windows, and Mac OS X. In my opinion, it's better! It doesn't get viruses or spyware. It uses Firefox as it's web browser and OpenOffice.org for it's office suite. That means that it can read and write to most of Microsoft's office products (MS won't open up Publisher documents so not even Mac's can read or write to it either). It can play all of my music and movie collection. Oh! And did I mention? It's F R E E ! You can find it here: http://ubuntu.com . The latest release will be out in April. I've been messing with the Alpha version since it's release and it has been rock solid.
Now, on to the books: I love all kinds of books. I love to read. Mostly, I read theological/spiritual books. I'm in the process of reading a book a month and writing a reflection on it for the Lindisfarne Community (http://www.icmi.org/home.html). You can read my reflections on my blog: Celtic Odyssey (http://odysseusjak.blogspot.com).
