Hi Larry. I'm from the Canada group and just wanted to stop by to welcome you to the group. It's not a terribly active group, but it tends to comes in spurts. There is a Welcome and Introductions thread if you'd like to introduce yourself there. We also have a review thread if you read anything by a Canadian author. Of course, feel free to contribute to the other threads as well! Enjoy! :-)
We're also currently doing a group read of The Way the Crow Flies by Ann-Marie MacDonald. Some discussion questions should be posted soon. We were aiming to read the book in May (me, I just started it) and discuss in June. Feel free to join us!
Hi Larry, Your selection of books looks great. I just finished The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Set in background to the civil rights events of the late 1950s and early 1960s, it is about two black maids working for white ladies of Mississippi. I really enjoyed the point of view of the various women in the story.
