I also like graphic novels, if they have dark themes or tormented superheroes.
About my ratings: I tend to give a lot of four and five star ratings, probably because I always do some research on a book before I read it (check out author webpages, read reviews etc.), it's very rare that I pick up a book that isn't my kind of thing at all.
My "favourite" books are the ones that mean something special to me, but aren't necessarily the ones I thought were the best written ones on my shelf.
