I have always loved books and have always wanted my own 'library' =) Dont have a specific type of book that I read, open to new and different types. Right now I have been trying to read all the books that I already own but have not read yet.
Been married for 5 months now, and just moved back to California from Texas. =)

Well, I finally have a student teaching post! Yay! It is for a charter school in lewisville. I will be teaching English Language Arts and Reading. How are things coming along with the growing family? You still doing ok? Keep in touch as much as you can (I know you will be sleepless and busy).

YAY for pictures. I just joined facebook, so I will find you on there. I like the name. Picking something with a family history is how we want to go, too. I could never do dean though because that was my ex's middle name, and he went by it. Allen is a family name on both our sides, so our boys will probably have that name in common (if we have a boy-i am hoping). I have written about 100 cards, too. It is just time consuming. Have a good day and take it easy with the two of you. Will talk to you soon.

So sorry to hear about your husband's grandmother. I hope the family is doing well in spite of it though. I have heard that plane rides are worse when you are pregnant, but i'm glad that you got through it alright. Things seem to finally be calming down now since the wedding. Still trying to get out the last of the thank you cards... it's not working very well. I'm still at the bookstore, but only part time. I will be subbing again in the fall unless a student teaching spot comes through. We will see... not getting my hopes up. Matt and I are looking at buying a house in Euless (just south of the airport). Paperwork is still in the works, so I am trying to not plan and plan and plan just in case it falls through. But, I hope it doesn't. Keep me posted about your baby and your family. Have you picked a name yet? Hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on here. The wedding was great! Greece was so amazing. Now that everything is over I finally have time to relax (well, at least that is what I am telling myself). I fell when we were in Greece and busted up my elbow pretty bad. I finally had it x-rayed and nothing was broken, but I bruised 2 of the bones, sprained the muscles, and bruised it all to hell. It has been 2 months and I still have problems with it, but it will heal eventually. It poured the day of my reception obviously because I picked the one day that hasn't had rain since 1972 and planned for everything to be outside. That's what I get... but we were able to move everything inside and it all ended up really well. I still have people emailing me saying how beautiful everything was. It stopped raining about an hour before everything started, so guest had a chance to take a damp stroll through the gardens before heading inside for the party. Are you ready to pop yet? How are things with the family in Cali? Do you guys have your own place yet? I can't remember if you had moved again or not. Let me know how everything goes.

not married yet... 37 days (not like I am counting or anything). I am glad to hear that you two (or is it three...) are doing well and are healthy. Morning sickness sucks, but I hear it is worth it. Been pretty busy here, too. In fact, I am at home on a break between jobs. I may be picking up 1 or 2 more jobs in the fall. I am looking at tutoring online in the evenings and selling Pampered Chef a couple weekends a month to bring some money in when I do my student teaching. I won't get paid for the teaching, and I don't know if I could handle having to work as much as I do now at BN on top of lesson plans and homework. We will see. I have to talk to Mark about it (unless John is doing schedules by then). You will have to let me know when you find out whether you are having a boy or girl (unless you decide not to find out). I am excited and relieved that you and the baby are ok. Keep in touch.

AHHHH!!!! That is wonderful! Congratulations! :) Texas is fine, except for the freak weather... it is the first day of spring and we are supposed to have snow tonight. Go figure. Still at BN. I was there full time this week because of spring break, but I am back down to part time starting next week so I can sub during the day. You are going to have to keep me posted about the baby. I am so excited! Can I tell people at work? By the way, did anything come of the interview with the Business Services company?

That is great! I am so happy for you. I hope it all works out perfectly. The subbing thing is hit or miss right now. Some days I have a job, and others I sit at home trying to find one. Oh well, c'est la vie. Keep me posted on how it all goes with you.

Yeah, just frustrated about the conversion rate to Euros. Losing a lot of money that way. I had my first sub job today. I had 8th grade US History. It was fun. Trying to get another one for tomorrow, but we'll see how that goes. I feel like a vulture waiting for its prey to die so I can dive in. Oh well, we do what we have to do. That is insane about the cost of living. I hope it works out for you soon. Are you living with your parents or his?

How's it going working at your friend's law office? Things going kinda slow here, but that is to be expected. I have my orientation tomorrow and can start subbing on wednesday. I'll let you know how it goes. How is your husband adjusting to being back home so soon? Miss talking to you at work. It's just not the same jokes going around. :( Oh well. At least you are still keeping in touch.

Do you remember Angela Tarter (she may have gone to seasonal before you started)? Well, if you do then you may care to know that she is engaged! I think it is wonderful. Just thought you might want to know. She came in the store this evening. Oh! Guess what else! I got a job as a sub at HEB ISD, just south of Grapevine. I start the middle of Feb.

Yay! Oh, guess what! My secret santa got me my present on Saturday. It was a copy of Blink by Gladwell. I am so excited about it! I was practically jumping up and down in the break room when I opened it. Some of that was because Chris L waited in line and got my books signed by Louis Sachar (probably my very favorite childhood author), then, everyone kept walking up to me to tell me that my secret santa left my present in the breakroom. Very interesting day, to say the least. I think it is someone on here, because there is no other way they would have known that I wanted to read Blink, unless someone on here told them (which is possible, just not likely).

Hello Jessica: You're welcome. I like a variety of books also. I like good mysteries that keep you guessing. Mary Higgins Clark's book Let Me Call You Sweetheart is a great book. I read it completely in 2 days. Lisa Scotolline is also good, and so is Patricia Cornwell. I also like chick lit (Jennifer Crusie, I also have books by Lorna Landvik, Carol Snow, and Jane Green). True crime (not too gory) is also one of my favorites. I love animal stories also. Romance and romantic comedy is nice, and funny books. Please write back. We have a chick lit group on Shelfari. The people here are very nice. Thank you for accepting my friend request. Your friend, Judy

I'm just glad you guys made it ok. Let me know when you find a job. You could always work at BN until you find something daytime. I just got my schedule this morning for my observation hours at GCISD. I am so excited! This puts me one step closer to teaching. You will find something... California is a big state... I am sure someone there wants to hire you, they just havn't met you yet. Is your family happy that you moved back?

BTW, I have family in Las Cruses (I'm not sure how to spell it either). That is funny that you went through there. There isn't really much to look at there...

The wedding stuff is going good for once, but I am still having nightmares about it. I hope that is normal... We found out last week that one of us has to get an international drivers license because we have a car rental in crete. We have had to move around the itenerary because of bookings for the hotels, but I think everything is finally settled. Maybe you will know, will it cause problems with my passport, etc. that we will legally be married before we leave for Greece? I don't want to get detained because my last name is not what is on my passport.

oh, it's about the same as it was before you left, only less busy now. They are cutting hours at work like crazy, so it is probably best you didn't stick around much later. Work-wise it would not have been worth it. We got that cold front finally, but it is finally getting back into the 40's during the day. Night time is still in the teens. I am glad you finally made it home. That sucks that it took so long, though, but I have heard similar stories from other people, too. Where did you stay in New Mexico? I am from there originally, which is why I am curious. Ok, really I am just being nosey, but you still love me anyway. :) Don't worry if you don't get Brave New World read this month. This is just for fun anyway. If you want to chime in on conversations later you can. No stress, remember?
