I've always loved books! Paper, words, letters, writing instruments--love them all and use them in my mixed media artwork. I am an adjunct professor of college freshman composition courses. I am currently working on a Master of Education in English which requires a lot of writing and reading, but I try to read for personal entertainment as much... more »

I hope you find time to red it it. Women did not write the gospel accounts and were therefore almost entirely left out. But if you dig there is evidence of their importance. One of the two main characters in my book is a woman!

Hello, Michele. I’m the author of The Sandal Maker, a new novel about the public ministry of Jesus from a unique point of view, a little controversial at times. It’s a story that will take you on a fascinating journey in first century Galilee. What part did women play in his ministry? Was he the first feminist? Were the miracles real? Why did Judas betray the Master? How does the gospel of Jesus compare to the gospel according to Peter and Paul? This is a “must read” for those on a true spiritual quest. You can read reviews at Amazon.com. I’m including here the publisher's notes. Let me know what you think. PS Please don't grade me haha

    From the Publisher
    A. Michaelson's new novel, The Sandal Maker, takes the reader on a fascinating journey back to the year 70 A.D. in worn torn Palestine. The author creatively weaves two stories together, one in the present, the other in the past. Heartwarming, enlightening and tragic, The Sandal Maker paints a portrait of one man's life and his involvement in how the gospel came to be.

Hi Michele. You're right, I'm an avid photographer. I also make artist's books, altered books, ATCs, and do digital--really hybrid-- scrapbooking. Most of my reading lately has been books about Photoshop and crafts.

Hi Michele! You can't go wrong with Girl With a Pearl Earring or ANY of Tracy Chevalier's works. I love them all!! All of Carol Goodman's books are great, as are Amy Tan's. For a good read with some dark undertones I loved The Historian!

    Hope this helps!!
