It's only after you've failed miserably and you've been broken by your opponent that you can truly find a way to not only best him, but become superior to him.

Yea. Steve nicknamed me that a long time ago. But since I haven't spoken to him in like a year, the nickname pretty much died.

Actually, I do. Don't know if I ever told you this, but we, of course, read The Taming of the Shrew in high school. There was no big production or anything, it was in class. But the teacher would give each character to one student in the class (depending on the scene we read that day). I was usually given...yea...you guessed it...Kat (which is ironic, since I always attempted to disappear into thin air each time the teacher began selecting the characters). So, trust me, I have a pretty good idea about Kat *g*

Thank You! That book has been on my shelf for some time-as you can see my TBR list is sooo long! It's scary! But I will prioritise it now that you've highly recommended it. :)

I'm not wild about Shakespeare, but there is one of his works that I love: The Taming of the Shrew. And I adore the movie.

Yea, shelfari is connected to books, and books are something I take comfort in no matter what's happening in life. So I'm definitely glad I enjoyed myself here too.

Pfft. Dude, a donkey is a donkey, no matter the country he/she lives in. I've always associated stubbornness with oxen, mules. You know, "...as stubborn as an ox...as stubborn as a mule."

ARE donkeys stubborn? They seemed awfully docile in Greece.
