good, you'll enjoy your philosophy studies, I see ;)
I just used baroque as an example... That's not really one of my favorite periods. :) I'm more of a XIX-XX century oriented ;)
We do learn all of those stuff, but literature comes as the primary. For example, when we deal with the baroque epoch, we learn of literature in that period, but we highlight some philosophical, artistic and historical points. On the 4th year of studies, we'll get 2 exams per semester named 'history of art', so we could get wider knowledge in that area which we could use for analyzing some other works and stuff like that :) ...
well, good luck with that! :)philosophy is interesting, no doubt, but I choose comparative literature over philosophy 'cause it gives you wider knowledge... with philosophy, history of art, rhetoric, history in general and, ofc, literature included...
I study comparative literature on faculty of philosophy... How about you?
I have to read it for the University, so I can "upgrade" Rablais on those statements :)I've just started, it's not long... I'll finish it by tomorrow ;)Seems very interesting, and it's got some hilarious parts... Generally, I love it!
