Well, I listed a few books, but I havn't read them all, these are just the ones I own. Of the ones listed I've read "This Immortal" which is considered one of his best and was pretty good. I've read "Damnation Alley" and it is also a short story, but the book has no philosophic value, it's just plain fun. "Four for Tomorrow", all four stories were great and "Unicorn Variations", I would say 70% of the stories were good, but a few didn't do much for me. I hear the collection "The Doors of his Face..." is really good. When I go to used bookstores, he's one author I look for, but sadly, most used stores don't have much. I found most of these books at a used bookstore in Kona, Hawaii, where I used to live. There, people would leave the island and would not want to pack all their books, so it was a haven for hard to find books. Most Hawaiians don't read sci-fi, so I went to town and got 100's of sci-fi books there for cheap, I mean, look at my shelf, I'm proud of it.

So, I'm gonna start the Amber books soon, but I have some other classic books by him that you may find used like "Lord of Light". But also check out "This Immortal", "Damnation Alley", "To Die in Italbar", "Eye of Cat" and "The Dream Master". You can also look for some short story collections like "Four for Tomorrow", "Unicorn Variations", "The Doors of his Face, the Lamps of his Mouth" and "The Defenders of Camelot". Hope that helps and thanks for your take on the Amber series.
