Hi Maddy,I see you're reading Modoc. How do you like it so far? I am reading The Help and simultaneously listening to it on audio CD. I love reading it and the book on CD is better than almost any I have ever listened to before (The Secret Life of Bees was another great listening experience). Each of the main characters is read by a different reader. It's great hearing the voices. Abilene's is wonderful and so is Skeeter's. The others are so in character. It's almost like a play. I can hardly wait to get into my car to hear more.
I thought it had so much promise. I was really hooked on the story. But all the "mystical" scenes started to get to me and I just hated that Edgar died at the end.
Glad you joined. It'll be fun to find new books to read.
