I added Stasiland to my TBR shelf. It sounds intriguing. Looking at your shelf as I write this, I realize I read 2 of the books on your self the last part of 2010. I listened to Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. Great book! Have you read anything else by Foer? I just finished The Forgotten Garden. It is a huge favorite of many Shelfarians but was just OK for me - probably won't read anything else by Morton. I simply have too many books and authors to explore! My three favorites of 2010 were The Road by Cormac McCarthy, Room by Emma Donoghue, and The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway.Happy New Years!
I sent you a group invitation. When you first log in, there will be something in the column on the right saying that you have an invitation. When you accept it, that group starts appearing with the rest of your groups. Then you just click on the group avatar like the rest of your groups and just look at the discussions. To add books:Put the book title in the search box and hit search. The book comes up on the left. Click on the add button underneath it.Then click on the box next to the appropriate choice such as I've read it or I plan to read. Once the checkmark appears to the right of the phrase you can exit or you can click on one of the choices at the bottom if you want to do one of those things. You can also add any book you see on someone else's shelf. If you put the cursor on a title the add box appears underneath and you just click on it and get the same dialog box. That's easier and it's kind of fun to browse everyone else's shelf looking for things to add when you're first adding books.
I'll try to put that book ahead of the others,You can start by putting those that are on your physical shelf.I know it will take a while doing that because It took me almost a month putting them on and it's worth it.Take care and have a good day.
Thanks,I already read the power and the glory,The quiet American and the heart of the matter.I have all of his books put aside and will read them in between books that I commited to read.Have you read any of his? Your shelf does not reflect you did,or perhaps incomplete as of yet.
Thanks for the note Rose. I"m certainly looking forward to reading more of hers. I appreciate you sharing your favorite title. Great looking family you have!
Welcome to 1001 books. You can keep track of the books you have read from the book, 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, join in the discussions on the books we are reading for the month (BOTM) or you can debate the merits of the list as some enjoy doing. We hope you will want to join in the choosing of BOTM and the discussions. The current books are pinned to the top for that month. There are older discussions that can be found by searching discussions. If there is any way the group administrator can help further feel free to ask one of us. If you don’t own the book the list can be found at the top in the group description or at http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm?content_id=22845. A downloadable list of the second edition is available at http://johnandsheena.co.uk/books/?
