I know another author you should check out, ....Chelsea Cain her 4th book in the Gretchen Lowell series just came out....you need to read them in order the first is Heartsick (not as scary as they sound in the descriptions) I really liked them. I'm reading State of Wonder....really like it so far, but only about 25 % in...
are you cindy baker? i am a second grade teacher at your school........who am i?
Just saw you were reading The Pillars of the Earth, if you finish and want to borrow the mini-series they did on Starz I bought it and loved it...stayed true to the book!
Cindy: Welcome to the Paging All Bookworms! Reading Challenge. Looking forward to discussing books with you.
Cindy, it's summer! Try something new.. The Hunger Games(trust me..first book there is a second and a third coming out in August. )...it's YA and I just checked -no copies available at Olean, but put it on hold...do you do that? Lots of copies are available at other libraries
Welcome to the group based on the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die. There is a general explanation of the group under the discussion thread GROUP GUIDELINES. The books of the month (BOTM) that the group is reading are pinned to the top. I hope you will enjoy the group and perhaps join in one or more of the monthly reads. April’s BOTM are 1984 by Orwell, The English Patient by Ondaatje and Black Water by Oates. Hope you can join in one or all the discussions.
I haven't been able to read much and probably won't be able to until after 12/9/09. Suddenly today I discovered taht I have a lot to do before I am off. So now I am a little freaked out. Looks like some late night this week. See you tomorrow.
Yes, you found me. I haven't been online in a while so I just got your message. Now that you can get on at home it will be easier to keep updated. I was able to read Mary Ellen's notes to you. Did you join that group she was talking about. BTW what is a tag? I think you told me once but I have forgotten. See you tomorrow for dinner.Linda
I don't see anything on your reading shelf... I am just about finished with the audio version of Fragment.. it should be available for download I would say in my review it's a cross between Lost and Jurassic Park... I am really enjoying the last third. I don't listen to audio books as much since I'm not driving to work each day. I need a good long trip. See you about..M.E.
Hey Cindy, The tag for Nov. in the Play Book Tag group is thrillers. It will be my first participation. I would have many suggestions if you want to try playing. Even if you don't it's a good group to join for suggestions.
I've got two book recommendations for you.. The first is "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett( look at the reviews) and "Belong to Me" Happy Reading!
Hey! You take directions very well. The group called Play Book Tag is a good one to join. I might take part in the Nov. challenge if I like the tag. See you around the shelves :)
