I used to voraciously gobble books up, until I caught me a man. So, I take advantage of my bus rides to and from work, lunch breaks, and the few minutes I can keep my eyes open before bed to get my fix.

I post book reviews both here on Shelfari and on my blog http://hardkover.wordpress.com. I love historical fic, mysteries, fantasy,... more »

Ha ha, no. I just realized there were some books that I got at a used bookstore a while back that I never updated.

Well, I am trying to read Red at the moment. I don't want to base a whole series based on just one book.

It was cute -- I liked how there were follow-up questions in each chapter in case you were in a similar situation.

I did! Finally! I get to read something new on my Kindle. Which is "Love Wins" by Rob Bell.

I didn't find the ending of THE SPARROW to be as shocking as I thought it would be after hearing you and Cori talk about it. I think that's because I was already forewarned about Emilio's story and thought there would be more to it than that (more to the end, thankfully not more to the story). I was sad about how Askeema's death came about. Also, I was much happier about why Marc died - good for him! But it was sad. I had nightmares about little brown men attacking me last night, though. No more, thank you very much!
I think I will start reading THE SCARLET PIMPERNAL for a bit of happiness.
Also, I ordered THE COLOR OF MAGIC from the library. I will start with that one. I googled the series last night and now understand what you and Esther were talking about with being able to start anywhere.
Thanks for the loans and recommendations!

For what? Reading 4 books in a month? My average used to be 5 per month until I got my job at AK and started my Masters. I can't wait until I am done and can read like this more often! It's nice to have a good, enthralling series to rope me back in! Something worth sacrificing sleep for! :)

It took me a bit of time to get into, but I'm really enjoying them now (I am on the sixth book, after all). Granted, I've been listening to them on my iPod. It really helps with pronunciation! Or at least how the readers pronounce those fantastical names... If you want to use the discs, feel free to let me know and I'll bring them to you next time I see you.

Do I really have to review all these books. I like reading them not writing about them

Meh. I am now onto the two other Liz Curtis Higgs books, so let me finish those, plus the 4+ others I need to finish and then I might take you up on that!

I did. I finished it in about 24 hours because I was just waiting for it to happen! But I feel okay about leaving Cheney and Shiloh there. I totally did not expect them to get married in this book!

I own NORTH AND SOUTH, if you would like to borrow that! Yes, this can be a reciprocal book-lending relationship!

I would love to! I have three books to return to you. I'm reading ANGRY CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD right now, so Cheney and Shiloh are taking a backseat. One more book left from that series that I have from you. Are there more?
