Whitney

Reading is my escape. I don't get to read as often as I like - mostly on my lunch break and a few stolen moments when I'm not chasing after my 3-year-old. I am formerly a chick-lit-only gal, but I have recently found that I love the mix of fantasy/action/romance as in the Twilight saga. I didn't see the movie when it came out - I actually only... more »

I read twenties girl, and enjoyed it. Not one of my favorites of hers, but entertaining nonetheless.

I'm Team Jacob :) I'm the odd one in my group of friends. You?

I just noticed your profile blurb - I have a 3 year old too! I have a boy. What about you? I have read most of Jennifer Weiner's books, I also love Sophie Kinsella (shopaholic books!) Meg Cabot, & Jane Green. I have not read any of the other's you suggested, I'll have to look them up at the library! I am not seeing new moon that soon ... bummer..! But I'm going the week after when my friend is back in town.

Ha ha, good to hear I wasn't the only one that didn't care for the Host. It just wasn't for me. I have not read Hush, Hush & Shiver.... I'll have to check them out. I read almost anything.... I liked "evermore" (which is not vampir-y but in the same general category). I also liked the "Blue Bloods" Series... can't remember who wrote them but they are on my shelf. They were pretty good. Lately I've been hooked on Jodi Picoult and chick fiction from the library ... just easy quick reads!

How is the novel the Host? Does it hold its own with the Twillight series? I've been skeptical about reading it, sounded like another Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Let me know what you think
