If you found Still Alice interesting, you might be intrigued by The Bird House (Simon & Schuster) which the Library Journal called “a great title for book clubs, and especially fans of Lisa Genova’s Still Alice.” Thanks so much – happy to connect on Shelfari if you’re up for it.Kelly Simmons
I finished my two as well. I wouldn't recommend Atonement and Marrying the Mistress was a good summer read. HOWEVER, I just finished Still Alice which I read in two afternoons this past weekend. I could not put it down. I have passed it onto Jill and will pass it to you if you want after she is done. I will likely wait to read Eat Pray Love til September so I think I will read Sarahs Key next.
Angels Ashes? Yes - it is about an Irish family's struggles with life. It is not a happy happy story but it is a very good read.
Did I have Sarash's Key on my bookshelf? I don't think I have read that but I have read Agnle's Ashes and you can definately borrow it.
Finished the White Masai on the plane and am now onto our December pick. Good so far! As the book is Donnas pick she is bringing dessert. See you Friday
My note says it was posted 2 minutes ago! Caught ya. Did I tell you I bought a new coat in Montreal? Couldn't find boots though ended up getting them here at Global Shoes. I just found out today from Swana that you can shop online at hollisterco.com and you don't have to pay any extra for having it sent to Canada. She said they have $70 hoodies on sale for less than $20. Just thought I would share that with you since you might be right there. Didn't do any work on my bookshelf tonight - going to bed now Love youxxx have fun at your convention.
No I was home sick this morning - my knee is really bad again and I had to take mega drugs last night so I was useless this morning. I have not got to posting a wish list yet. I took me over 2 hours just to put on those few books that I have read!!
OK I'm in - the reason I only have two books on my shelf is because it was very late when I signed on on Sunday night so I only did two to see how it works.
