Read the review for Asperger's From the Inside Out: A Supportive and Practical Guide for Anyone with Asperger's Syndrome
Hello Alice, welcome to the world of Aspergers. I hope your diagnosis answers plenty of questions for you. I have just finished reading "Look Me In The Eye" by John Elder Robinson. Its his autobiography so it explains how Aspergers affected his life, of course no two people will be affected the exactly same way, but it gave me hope for my sons adult life. I am also on the waiting list at the Library for Tony Attwood's "Complete Guide to Aspergers Syndrome" this one was recommended to me by the pediatrician. I have also read Daniel Trammet's Autobiography "Born on a Blue Day" which I can also recommend. I think that your family will have to keep in mind that whilst everyones story will be different, some things such as social difficulties will be pretty common for everyone. I will keep borrowing and reviewing the books I read. The next book I would like to source is "Can I Tell You About Asperger Syndrome?: A Guide for Friends and Family" by Jude Welton. Please stop by and let us know what you think about the books you find too. Thanks Alice,Julie
