A question - do you want both Oryx and Crake, and Year of the Flood? I said I'd lend them to you, but I don't remember if you wanted them bothl. I hope you like them as much as I do. I just LOVED them!!
I am! Although, goodness, this is protracted reading at its worst (on my part). I've been working stupid hours getting cleared up for the holidays, so have to pick up where I left off on the first book! Looking forward to some voracious reading when I close down for the holidays (about a day to go!!) ... which means you'll then have the Clubfoot booklet to stimulate your cerebellum ...!!!
Started Hitch-Hiker tonight - Love it!!!
Remembered! Do you think I'd like the Hitchhikers books?? I've always thought of picking them up, they're so highly recommended. I have enjoyed Atwood's sci-fi (Oryx and Crake, oh, and Year of the Flood is SO EFFING GOOD! - I'll lend them to you, I have them both), but haven't read any outside of her ...
Two questions:- Did you see that MacIntyre won the Giller for the Bishop's Man?? I HAVE to pick that up. He's the cousing of one of my Board members - felt stupid today in a meeting when everyone was glowing about his cousin, and I had no idea (oops - reminder to watch the frigging news every day and scan headlines in the morning!!).- I forget the second one. I have to go look at your shelf again - it was about one of the books!!
You're hilarious!! I would LOVE it if you would lend those to me!! I do have Eleanor Rigby in my collection - problem is, I didn't actually FINISH it. I bought it when Dean, Hayden and I went to Boston for Christmas, and one of my neices snatched it and started reading it - I had that stupid 100-day cough and bruised ribs, so I didn't care, and REALLY have to pick that up again so I know how it ends!!
