Born and raised in a rural setting by loving parents who valued education highly. Dad was a dairy farmer, and both parents attended OSU during the depression when money became so tight they had to come back to NE Ohio before completing college. Attended an excellent vocational girls school near Cleveland for 5 years where I was exposed to much culture and many experiences I probably wouldn't have otherwise had the opportunity to see. Worked as a legal secretary out of highschool until marriage. Gave birth to 3 children, raised 2 after losing a son at 14 months to SIDS. Worked in automotive accounting as an office manager for 35 years before retiring. Have 3 wonderful grandchildren and am quite active in our community with church and civic organizations. Recently appointed to our local library board as a director. My husband (of 48 yrs) and I like to spend mid Jan-mid Apr in FL with our 5th wheel as long as our health and finances will allow. Feel fortunate to have grown up in a home and society where reading was what we always did with spare time, for relaxation and for knowledge. My biggest fear in life is that macro degeneration or some other problem might limit my ability to read and enjoy the luxury of learning with my eyes and imagination. « less
