I loved reading as a kid, particularly in middle and early high school. But with the exception of an American Literature class in college, which I enjoyed a great deal, it seems that college got me away from reading more than anything.

I have a BA degree in Science and Spanish education (fluent in Spanish), and an MS degree in psychology with a certification for being a school counselor. I taught science briefly in middle school, and Spanish for about six years in the big city; now I am happy to be a counselor at a high school near where I grew up.
My wonderful wife and I have four little boys. She loves to read, much more than I over the years, but our tastes differ quite a bit so we can't really help each other out much as far as finding and dissecting books!
