I am an undergrad. at the University of Akron, majoring in English, with minors in French and Creative Writing. I should be done with a Bachelor's degree in the spring of '11, then plan to go directly into the MFA in Creative Writing at the same institution. I read a lot, and I like a variety of genres, including biographies, new fiction by women authors, classics and short stories. Some of my favorite authors are Margaret Atwood, Stephen King, Kurt Vonnegut, Edgar Allen Poe, Albert Camus and Marguerite Duras. I particularly enjoy authors/material that inspire me to write my own stories, or that show me a different way to think about writing. « less
