You would be waaaay ahead of us getting most books, though we do seem to take priority in release dates sometimes if the book is from the UK. Loads of books just never come to NZ stores. Of course, there is always online shopping, but I'm old fashioned in that I do like to browse book stores. Not as much fan as it used to be, sadly. I just found Rose under Fire listed somewhere the other day, but didn't realise it was a companion to Code Name Verity. I really want to read both! Thanks!
Thanks for following my back. I so agree about shelfari. I really love it here! Have met some cool people, discovered books I wouldn't have otherwise, and it's a great way to keep track of my own reads. (And I got frustrated with Good Reads. Not sure why EXACTLY but don't like it at all. Maybe it just feels like more work?)
Do you read Holocaust fiction at all? As far as YA Holocaust fiction goes, I recently enjoyed Prisoner B-3087 and another that springs to mind is The Wrong Boy. A recent read (not Holocaust exactly but set at that time) was ONe Day in Ouradour, for that 8-12 age group.
What are you recent picks?
