I love reading. My life has always been centered around reading, whether it was reading Goosebumps or listening to books that made sounds. When I was little I would go to the library with my mommy and pick out books then come home and start reading as soon as I got in the car. I didn’t go outside (too hot in New Mexico!) so I stayed inside and read books. I read anything and everything all the time. When I played with friends it was always acting out what happened in the books I read. I loved acting out Nancy Drew with my mom (I was always Nancy!) and acting out The Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen series with my friend Jessica.
Now I read books to escape. Instead of dealing with my own problems I like to read about other people’s problems. I love anything from Realistic Fiction to Mystery. When I go to the bookstore I have to buy more than 4 books just to keep myself busy for a week! My mom and I always discuss books after reading them (it’s like a book club in my own house!) I love going to the library or a quaint bookstore, I feel like I could stay in there for hours on end. I don’t know what I would do if I could never read again, its part of my life and feel like it is a necessity in my life.
Reading comes easily to me, like walking or breathing. Every book I read becomes a part of me and I feel like a piece of me is gone after it’s over. I become part of the story and get attached to the characters and their stories, which is why I prefer reading series over a single novel. Reading relaxes me and takes away some of my stress, because my focus is taken away from me and my life and put on the characters problems. Reading can cause some problems for me because when I get pulled into my book I would rather read than do my homework or even sleep. I cannot stand stopping in the middle of a book, I will stay up until I finish reading it. The worst thing that could ever happen is someone who interrupts me when I’m in the middle of reading.
I am a romantic at heart and absolutely love when the best possible outcome happens (like when the girl gets the guy or when the guy gets the girl!). The worst possible ending for me for a single novel is when it’s a cliffhanger or it’s left up to your imagination to finish the story. I feel like it’s the author’s job to end the story instead of the reader. I think the world would be a much darker and lonelier place without books. « less

I like happy endings myself and have been reading a number of love inspired novels from www.steeplehill.com. I am currently reading JINGLE BELL BABIES by Kathryn Springer It is the sixth book of a six book series entiled After the Storm. Excellent series as far as I am concerned.
