Hi, Patricia! I'm from the Canada group and just wanted to stop by to welcome you to the group. It's not a terribly active group, but it tends to comes in spurts. There is a Welcome and Introductions thread if you'd like to introduce yourself there. We also have a review thread if you read anything by a Canadian author. Of course, feel free to contribute to the other threads as well! Enjoy! :-)
The politics were heavy, not knowing the background of the Sierra Leone civil war. At the end I found I was more interested in the story of the fugue patient than I was about Adrian or Kai
I thought it was a gripping read. There were so many layers to the story. I found Adrian to be a pretty one dimensional more of a sounding board for the other men. Maybe because he really didn't have anything that he wanted or needed to conceal from himself or others. What about you?
No I didn't finish it (I wanted to pass it on to a very lovely pregnant friend of mine ;) I think I'll go back to it though. Right now I'm reading "The Children's Hospital" which is also weird. Hope you're doing well.L
