  Unrealistic or not my writing gives me hope. But with something like 50 000 books published every month it is a little discouraging. I didn’t think there were that many writers.

  I noticed in your tags that you are interested in themes about friendship, family, father/daughter and gothic, to name a few...
  
  That being the case, you may enjoy the series I've written called "Mayne Attraction". Each of those themes is woven through the story, along with the quiet heroism of an unconsciously beautiful leading lady...
  
  Just a head's up...I just posted a new chapter to read online from book 3, "In The Shadow" of my series "Mayne Attraction" (at www.mayneattraction.com) This is the story told from the perspective of Ash, the security specialist who's fallen desperately in love with Ellery Mayne (the heroine of Mayne Attraction).
  
  But he's conflicted for a number of reasons: She's much younger than he is, she's his surveillance team's 'mark', so she's not supposed to know he exists, and if she finds out about him and his team they will all lose their jobs, which are the best, easiest most incredibly high-paying assignments any of them have ever had. Some of the team are like family to Ash and he's torn between his obsession for the girl and his duty to his friends...
  
  The new chapter is number 5, "Heroine". In this scene, Ash describes how Ellery carries out a good deed when she thinks no one is watching. I think you'll really enjoy it.
