I really liked your review! It made me wonder what is wrong with me that I didn't enjoy the book more. I think my main problem was that I spent 90% of the reading experience bummed out and disappointed in the characters. I hated the plot-line of Seamie cheating on his wife, even though it was inevitable. I remembered that that was what happened in the other books too (there is always a marriage standing in the way) but this was the first time I really liked the spouse and even though Jennie deceived Seamie I still really liked her and felt sad that she lost out on the chance for happiness and love. The time-period was fascinating and I really liked the background of the suffragettes and World War I, but I felt a little apathetic towards the characters, Willa particularly, and just couldn't bring myself to really root for them. I will say that the last 10% of the book was my favorite, especially the truth about Max (did not see that coming!) So I'm glad I read it, but I don't know that I can say I liked it. It was a good ending to a great series though. Thanks so much for helping me get a copy early!
