An avid reader, although partial to reading black authors work, not opposed to others. I was on a holistic health kick back in 1999 and also curious about conspiracy theories; at that time I read anything related to those topics and nothing else. Six years ago I started reading other genres and decided to start a Book Club, this has allowed me to diversify my interest in other areas... : ) Now one of my favorite pastime is to sit down and enjoy a good novel. Romance, Mystery & Suspense and although biographies aren't fictional I do enjoy some of those as well and will always continue to read Self-Help, Mind and Body, and Health books as well. I also enjoy attending book signings, and because of my love for travel--National Book Club Conferences, Book Fairs, and it's especially fun to have authors sit in on a Book Club meeting.
The person who came up with this site had a genius idea-- The reviews, keeping a tally of the books read, the wish list and the books you share in common with others. I really love the visual that's displayed of the book covers. It puts me in the mindset of looking at my own little book shelf at home!
