I love books and have been a reader since Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women." That was my first "big" book in 3rd grade and I've been hooked on reading since. As a young person I loved Judy Blume books and authors like her. I also began reading V.C. Andrews books. I scared myself to death later on reading "Pet Cemetary," and have stayed... more »

I'm not sure that I ever replied to something you posted on my page (a very long time ago). I'm sorry! I haven't been on here much lately. If you are still interested in reading any Jodi Picoult books, I would recommend The Pact and My Sister's Keeper. Those are probably my favorites! Hope you enjoy them if you read them!

Hey NYC girl in Texas.. I just signed up for Shelfari last week to try to get the word out about my novel, and since you’re in the "chick lit" group I thought I'd drop you a note. My book, “Perfect on Paper,” is about a single woman in San Francisco whose life is hardly perfect. Anyhow, I thought you might want to check it out. I have to start somewhere to get word-of-mouth going outside of my own friends, right? :)

If you decide to read it, I hope you enjoy it- and if you enjoy it, please spread the word b/c grassroots marketing is all I have to get this thing off the ground!

Thanks (and btw the book is on my shelf if you want to take a look)

    Hello,
Let me formally introduce myself, my name is Harriet and i am trying to start an African American library in my town of Jackson, TN for teenagers and young adults to keep them off of the streets and reading books. So far we have about 70 book and about 30 teenagers and young adults so the books have been read really fast. I would like to know if you would like to donate any african american fiction and nonfiction books that you would like to get rid of. We are trying to expand and need more books but can't afford them right now because we only have a handful of people doing this project. If you are interested in donating any books to us please feel free to email me back at your convenience and I will send you the address for the books to be shipped to. If you send them or not I would like to thank you in advance just for taking the time to read this email and see our concern. God bless you and gave a great day.

    Sincerely
    Harriet

Widow Traci Evans sits in on meetings with the lovely ladies of the Invincible Sisterhood because for a little while she can feel as if she belongs. The members are all sweet older women who have lost their husbands, but not their passion for life. However, unlike the other women in the Sisterhood, Traci's husband died while cheating on her.

Traci has no intention of letting a man make a fool of her again. Not even if he begged. Even her newfound friend and neighbor, Maureen Gilmore, can't convince her to open her heart to love again. But when Maureen's gorgeous son Ryan admits he's attracted to Traci, she might have to rethink everything she knows about love. Maureen has some soul searching to do as well. She's interested in a sexy young policeman...and then the unthinkable happens, she starts having hot flashes

Two women - two impossible situations.
