    Dear friend sorry I have not been around as my mother is ill so i hope you are ok.
    We are going to be starting the next group (SAGAS) read Beowulf a 7th century heroic poem written in Old English, but as a translation by Seamus Heaney. This will run through June and July, so i hope you can join us. I have posted background info on the blog page and the group site

    Are you enjoying reading The Tain this month. It will be running on into May. The language and being half verse and half prose makes it difficult at times but it will give us some themes to watch out for when we read Beowulf in June.

    Hi julie Mae Madsen I have posted the April Book read (SAGAS) The Tain under the post of that title so nobody has to buy the book and it is posted in sections so we can read it as we go along and discuss it. I hope you are still looking forward to reading the story
