I've been reading since a very early age. My grandmother was a English teacher for 31+ yrs so she insisted that as soon as I learn to speak, I learn to read. I attribute my wanting for knowledge and reading to her.
I suffer from a very rare connective tissue disorder called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (www.ednf.org) and books are my way to escape the pain.
I'm a huge fan or horror/paranormal/sci-fi/historical type books. I will on occasion read a comedy if the book catches my interest.
I read a lot of vampire books. Those are my absolute fave books to read. I remember wishing when I was a child wanting to be one. I guess in some ways I always will.
I also have started reading books relating to the Renaissance period. The scandals, the intrigue, deception, etc. of that period is so fascinating to me. If only to be able to live during that time period and keep your head at the same time would be an amazing thing.
I'm a member of Paper Back Swap. (Not just for paper back books either) It's mainly where I get all my books.
