Well, I must say that it's not actually called "Shigekuni Honda Saga" but at the time I couldn't remember the english name: "The Sea of Fertility", it's a series of four novels about the fall of feudalism in Japan. The main character is Shigekuni Honda. They're really beautiful books, specially the fist two.

I haven't read Yasushi Inoue or Osamu Daza, but i'll be sure to find them on my next visit to the bookstore. I also wanted to tell you about Kyoichi Katayama, his last books have been quite enjoyable.

That's a shame about Genji not being available in Romanian yet, but I'm certain that there are many good english translations around. It's a beautiful story, don't miss it!

On a less oriental kind of reading. Have you read Stieg Larson? The guy that recently died before publishing his books "Millennium"? People tell me he's real good but im a bit skeptical. Any insights?

I had a romanian friend once. It felt very weird, not knowing the words he used, but almost understanding what he said as he spoke romanian. Right now i've gotta learn french, but romanian is next on the list.

Acum e timpul sa iti spun si eu povestea mea,nu-i asa?
Osho a fost un filizof controversat in India.Iubesc felul kum vorbeste despre viata, iubire, libertate, religie si multe alte lucruri.

I also like Kawabata because it feels —or reads— in a more trditional japanesse way. It feels like if he was one of those very old japanesse poets, the traditional ones. He uses a very poetry like metaphoric language. And even translated versions of Kawabata keep that phrase structure.

I really like Mishima too. I think there's an evolution to his style. His early works are more traditional, the later ones, very modern. The Shigekuni Honda saga is one of my favorite reads of all times!

Do you like other Japanesse authors like, Haruki Murakami for example? Have your read the Genji Monogatari?

(By the way, i've always wanted to visit Romania, and learn Romanian. I like the way it sounds and it's very weird similarity to Spanish)
