I see you like an author and then read everything they ever wrote. There is one outstanding popular author that you've overlooked. Nelson DeMille. He's knowledgeable on his subject, often funny, writes well enough, and spins a great story. Start with the General's Daughter or Gold Coast. I'll bet you end up reading everything he's written too.
