Thanks for following me. I checked out your books and some have peaked my interest so, I'm following you as well. I read some YA as well, I see that you just got into those. Mostly, I read PNR. As you can probably tell by all the groups I'm a part of. Let's see what we can learn from eachother! Jessica
Hi Noemi! NOthing wrong with you at all! I have 2 boys aged 11 and 15 (nearly 16) and YA books are my favourites! Hopefully we'll have lots to share, and I'll browse your shelf to see what you're reading :) Nice to meet you too :)
I'm reading Shadows on the Moon by Zoe Marriott at the moment. It's set in an imaginary kingdom but if you've spent time in Japan, that's the feel - but ancient traditional Japan. It's about a girl called Suzume, who is a shadow weaver - complicated but basically it's the creation of illusions, such as making yourself blend into surroundings like camouflage rather than invisibility. The basic plot is a girl from a noble family whose mother marries her husband's best friend after her husband is murdered. It's about the control men had on women in that society in that era and about revenge (not hers, Suzume's). It's not my absolute favourite but it's creative and the setting is really good (I lived in Japan on and off for years).
