    Hi Nina,
So good to hear from you. Wow, what a busy schedule you have! Who are you doing the multiliteracies course with? I can't wait for EVO. I always learn something new, but his year I have to be sure to sign up for only one, because they all look so interesting that I tend to act like a kid in a candy store.
Everyone here is fine. My daughter, Claire, now lives in an apartment in Germantown. I love having her close. The twins are beginning to talk. Since I speak to them in Spanish and everyone else uses English, they respond to either language. It's so much fun!
We'll have to do coffee sometime, maybe after the holidays when we are both between semesters.
    Hugs,
    Maryanne

Cool! Keep me updated about it.
This summer my readings include "A Hundred and One Days: A Baghdad Journal", "The Sewing Circles of Herat: My Afghan Years" and other similar readings... :-)
but I haven't had as much time to read during vacation as I had thought. Too many people to visit, too many things to do... but that is also good! :-)

(sorry about my late answer - only noticed your message now)

    Hi, Nina!
No, I'm not part of Jane's group. Are you? How do we become part of it?
It's been interesting to go look at great technology books I read several years ago for my Master's thesis and add them here.

    Nina,
Thanks so much for inviting me. This site looks awesome. I've always wanted a place to keep track of what I read. This site not only does that but it allows us to exchange suggestions for reading. Great!

    Hi Nina
I noticed Alexander McCall SMith on your shelf. Have you read his series about a group of people in Edinburg (sp)? It's very cute...it was serialized in the newspaper The Scotsman. I have the books if you want to borrow...I read a lot of mysteries lately, but I may read some other stuff soon. I heard the memoir The Glass Castle is amazing...and I want to read the new book by the guy who wrote The Kite Runner. I also read a lot of Christian theological books...esp. those by Marcus Borg. Your bookshelf is amazing. Keep on reading!

Hello, Nina! Thanks for inviting me! I've just registered, and I thought it's interesting for me to able to see the people who read the same books as me! I'm going to talk about it when I see someone from AGU 2006. :-) See you!
