I recently finished my PhD in Biological Sciences! I live in DC and work on the Hill where I handle energy and environment issues for a member of Congress. Unfortunately, my shelf is not very representative of all of the books I have read. I thought that going back and adding all of the books I have ever read was a little unrealistic so all the books on my shelf with a review are ones I have read since joining shelfari; the others are ones I have added to my shelf as I have stumbled across them. I have read
many books though so feel free to ask me about anything! :)

I try to rate and review all of the books on my "I've read" shelf for you to glance at if you like. I base my scoring system on the following:
5* - Couldn't put the book down! Phenomenal and will definitely be a reread!
4* - Above average book, very entertaining/informative/moving, read at a good pace.
3* - Good book, glad I read it, probably won't be a reread.
2* - I finished but it was a struggle to keep going most of the time.
1* - UGH! Finishing this book actually caused me physical pain.
