I love books and people. It took me ten years to write my novel, The Mayor's Wife Wore Sapphires, an urban political thriller. When I finished, I won the prestigious Cush City, "2007 Best New Author Award." After that, I founded the New Image Writer's Network. It is the home of writers who want to help replace the negative image of African Americans with positive ones. Last year, the New Image Writer's took a bus tour of the city to spread the new image of AfricNow I am busy writing my next book and teaching the techniques that make for compelling, gripping novels.
