haha, I personally never buy hardcovers since I'm cheap, and haven't yet mastered the art of spine-gluing.Yeah, I really don't like large type. I don't care if it ruins my eyes, give me half-transparent pages and 7pt font or give me Curious George! One time my sister and I were reading The Count of Monte Cristo at the same time and she had a B&N version (which turned out to be abridged) and I had this like, peeling, ripped-up copy that randomly was missing half a page, so I borrowed hers to read that section and was like, "THIS IS TOO BIG, AND WHERE IS ALL THE GOOD BITS? THIS IS SUMMARY AND DIALOGUE! ]8("
I love Penguin classics; they have such pretty, neat and clean-looking covers. The new Barnes & Noble classics are really pretty, too; I just wish so many of them weren't abridged. /:
adgjlasfjk I actually stalked your shelf, a little. And I need lighter/more contemporary (?) books to break up all the classics/philosophical books (coughbible) I plan to read. /mega-nerd ♥
