“Strengths- reminding us of the reality of subsistence, where life exists not for itself, but for a better future for the next generation. Its contrast with corruption and bigotry is ever present and needs to be borne in mind. Even though the book is based on a CARE sponsered trip, which is short and not too invasive, it avoids being sentimentalist or overtly sycopantic... which itself says much.
