Well, I do feel like his books have followed a kind of downward slope. This Present Darkness/Piercing the Darkness were amazing, The Oath was really good, The Visitation was good, and Monster was decent. I won't even discuss House, cause that was awful and a disgrace to his name. So maybe he's just losing whatever it was that made him great before? It'd be hard to keep that up.
Well, i am not a fan of Cloaked. each book seems to get more far reaching...I do appreciate the author wanting to implement other tales into this book. Just thought it was a bit much. what do you think? how far are you? what did your sister think?
Beastly still rocks!
So I finally finished that Edgar Sawtelle book. I'm undecided on how I feel about it. On the one hand, the ending made me angry, but on the other hand, I don't know how it could have ended any other way. Sigh...all that time invested only to result in uneasiness.
Yeah, you did mention that one. I'll probably take a look at it eventually. I thought The Double Blind was ok...not the best, but not too bad overall. For some reason books where you find out at the end that the main character is messed up in the head piss me off. Kind of like Three by Tedd Dekker. I refuse to read any of his books ever again.
