I'm a lifelong North Carolinian. I've enjoyed reading for as long as I can remember. I also love to write.

I have many interests, but I'm currently focused on health literacy and doctor-patient communication. This interest stems from the health issues I have had personally, as well as those of other family members. At this point in life, I would like to do more to help people navigate through the health system.

I hold a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and a master of arts degree in educational media. I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in technical and professional discourse. I hope to work in the field of health communication after graduation. « less
