more »Hello everyone. My name is Aliah, I'm 22 years old and I reside in Newark, NJ. I recently graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with my master's degree in Library Science. Thats right, I'm gonna be a librarian. Go me! In my undergrad years, I received my BA in Philosophy and Religion. I minored in Asian Studies and Leaderhsip Studies. So naturally, those are my main interests.
In terms of books I enjoy reading on a wide spectrum of topics. In the past, I've mostly read fiction (E. Lynn Harris, James Patterson, etc). In terms of fiction novels, I enjoy black romance novels, murder mystery, horror, comedy and thrillers. I've also started reading a lot of young adult books: Harry Potter, Bartimaeus, Eragon, Inkheart, Artemis Fowl, Abarat, etc. As of late, I have been trying to add more nonfiction books to my collection. In terms of nonfiction, I like books about other cultures--nothing dry and dull. It must be fast-paced or interesting...interesting being something I enjoy: religion, asian studies, cultural studies, philosophy etc. Any suggestions?
Other than reading I enjoy: my hair (nappturality), television, movies, video games, music and sleeping :o)
