This was a book that made me laugh quite a bit. It has a unique story with under lying humor. I read this after reading the second which was equally as good. Recommended for those who like to laugh while reading.

An excellent look at the Holiness of God and how it is overlooked today.

  • Stones of Jerusalem: A Novel of the Struggle for Jerusalem (Thoene, Bodie, Zion Legacy, Bk. 5.)
    • Rated 5 stars

Continuing from The Jerusalem Scrolls, the viewpoint is still in A.D. Jerusalem. Moshe and Alfie are still underground reading them. Following Marcus, a Roman centurion, and Miryam, a troubled young woman whom Marcus loves. They both have some issues to resolve with themselves and each other. In this one, they introduce a little boy named Avel, who is a child on the street. I don't want to spoil the story for all reading this, so, I won't give any more details. In short, this is another great installment into the Zion Legacy series. Again, it will make more sense if you read the entire series.

  • The Jerusalem Scrolls

Another well written book in the series, The Jerusalem Scrolls takes a little bit of a different path than the others. After going to the underground library, Moshe and Alfie start reading the scrolls. This transports you back to A.D. times. An excellent way to ease you into it. The writing style stays the same with an more old time feel to it. Very well done, though I still suggest reading the others before this one.

  • Jerusalem's Heart: A Novel of the Struggle for Jerusalem (The Zion Legacy, Book 3)
    • Rated 5 stars

My favorite of the Zion Legacy series, Jerusalem's Heart continues the Jew/Arab war in 1948. All of the previous characters return in this one with a bit more excitement (no that the other's were boring). Moshe's story get's even more interesting when his father-in-law (a Rabbi) shows him the scrolls underneath the city. The other's lose hope as the war draws to a close. ATTENTION: Read the other's before this one and everything will make more sense.

The second book in the A.D. Chronicles series, this one follows the old character's all while following the new ones. In this one, the lepers that live in a valley hear of the Messiah and the miracles He does. In a desperate attempt they decide to go and look for Him. But when they grow suddenly weak, Lily, and lone leper, decides to find Him for the sake of all of them. This lives up to the last book. A real page-turner from Bodie and Brock Thone. ATTENTION: Be sure to read the last book or even the Zion Legacy series before attempting this one.

After reading the Zion Legacy series I just had to pick up the A.D. Chronicles series. This coming directly after and all. It picks up a few years after Jerusalem's Hope (in the present) but picks up right after in the A.D. side of things. A good plot, cool writing style, and good, new character's mingled with the known ones make for a good book. A must read if you've read the others.

  • Thunder from Jerusalem: A Novel of the Struggle for Jerusalem (Thoene, Bodie, Zion Legacy, Bk. 2.)
    • Rated 5 stars

Historical fiction is most always a winner in my book anyway, but this one hit it out of the park (as did the whole series)! Continuing from Jerusalem Vigil, it goes on about the Jew and Arab War back in 1948. This one has some returning characters from the first (of course) and brings in some new one's as well. All skillfully done as to keep to the main story line and plot while giving each character their own. Awesome book. Highly recommended.

Dekker skillfully ties together the Circle Series while still keeping this one story unique.
