I'm a married mother of two, a published author, a dog lover . . . and a lifelong book addict. Now that I've discovered a willing enabler in Shelfari -- yay! -- I would love nothing more than to meet new friends and old who share my obsession with books.

What do I read? I read my share of the classics in college -- degrees in English... more »

Thanks to MJD, Betsy lives and breathes in my imagination. She's hilarious, shallow, vain -- and did I mention hilarious? -- but with a big squishy heart. And the hero . . . I swear he's Mr. Big with fangs. Hot. I read this book and had to buy all the others . . .

This one's dog-eared from rereading. This one's in the style of her Harmony series, almost a prequel to them. I highly, highly recommend it if you can get your paws on a copy, although I understand this isn't easy . . .

I enjoy MaryJanice Davidson's royals, mostly because of her writing style. Her characters are always quirky, the dialogue's snappy, the observations outrageous.

This was my first exposure to Jennifer Crusie, and arguably her best book, in my opinion. It's outrageous, suspenseful, hilarious, poignant, all of that. And the hero . . . sigh. Great, great hero. Her characters are always so appealingly flawed. And the suspense . . . yep, she kept me guessing.

Oooh, one of my favorites!! This is classic Jennifer Crusie, with the one-liners that knock your socks off, a hero to fall in love with and a heroine who's real, complex, unexpected, funny. Great suspense storyline, too!! I've reread this one many times.

I love the Harmony series -- just finished this book and truly enjoyed it. The dust bunnies entertain and JAK delivers (as always) with a complex hero, a likable and intelligent heroine and subtle humor, along with an unexpected twist or two. It's a re-reader. Most of hers are. (And I'd love a dust bunny of my own!)
