I'm a married mother of two, a published author, a dog lover . . . and a lifelong book addict. Now that I've discovered a willing enabler in Shelfari -- yay! -- I would love nothing more than to meet new friends and old who share my obsession with books.

What do I read? I read my share of the classics in college -- degrees in English... more »

This one's so good it's on my desk, not the bookshelf. I highly recommend it. Great for murdering the internal editor and calling up the creative when you need it.

This was a decent anthology. I enjoyed it -- all solid authors. I bought it for the Lynsay Sands story but did read all the others. As I recall, it led me to buy a couple more Lori Handeland books.

It's rare that I read all the stories in an anthology -- much less actually enjoy all of them -- but I did like all of these. I bought it for Feehan's novella but just kept on reading . . . So, sure, I recommend it.

Wow. This book seriously delivers the magic. As a writer and a book inhaler, I've grown picky and possibly a little jaded in my reading, but this book had me sighing and smiling at the end.

Definitely one of my favorites of Christine Feehan's Carpathian series. She lets the heroine be the tortured soul this time and she gave her more of a sense of community -- we like the people in this book.

I've read this book so many times I should be able to quote it from memory. Such appealingly flawed characters, and such witty dialogue . . . Nobody, but *nobody*, does wit like Georgette Heyer, and this is my favorite of all her books.

Very possibly my favorite romance of all time. Words don't do it justice. Shanna's wonderfully flawed in a redeemed Scarlet kind of way. And Roarke . . . larger than life as slave, lover, rebel, gentleman, Colonial . . . I have this in hardcover and paperback, just to save on wear and tear . . .

A satisfying read, definitely. I've enjoyed the Drake sisters, although I'll admit I love the ghostwalkers and Carpathians more.

Nobody writes heroes like Linda Howard writes them. I'll admit I guessed the ending of this story, but I chewed nails getting there. The ultimate sexy hero, and I love a good romantic suspense that still make laugh occasional even while it horrifies me at times. Great, great book.

This was the first Christine Feehan book I read. Understand, when I did so, I had absolutely no interest in vampires, didn't read dark paranormals, had never heard of her. Why did I read her? I have no idea. I just know that this was only the first book of hers that I devoured. The heroes are amazingly noble, charismatic, strong, tragic, just larger than life. This was the first book in the series and, arguably, the best. I reread and reread . . .
