hi everyone.
i've been reading since i was old enough to bug my eldest sister to teach me. i have to admit that most of my reading preferences have been greatly influenced by her. she introduced me to the world of fantasy fiction, and english literature, children literature, graphic novels, and maybe the occational artsy books worth collecting. yes, i'm one of those people who think it's easier to escape the real world than actually living it. :)
i read more books than i have, which i am trying to make up for now that i don't need to depend solely on the remainer of my monthly pocket money from my parents (the ultimate indulgence in having financial freedom)
i'm also part domestic goddess - so browsing through cook books are a def. favourite of mine when i wander through book stores. plus, it helps me work up a good appetite, so that can't be bad.
my books offer me a personal retreat (and i'm very sure many many others would agree with me on this). no matter where i am, a book is always with me. no matter where i sit, while reading, i'm in another place and time.
fav authors of all time: neil gaiman, roald dahl, melanie rawn, david eddings, frank miller, christopher pike, l.j. smith, enid blyton.
(a few of the) fav books close to my heart of authors not mentioned above: lord of the rings, black beauty, how to kill a mockingbird, my harry potter collection.
