Myrea

I have an MA in English and have worked as a teacher, editor, library assistant, and publishing project manager. Somehow I have been fortunate enough to work around books all my life! My favorite genres are fantasy, sci-fi, and historical fiction, but I will read anything.

Well then, if you've been to the website, you've pretty much read the book. It's only SLIGHTLY different wording and maybe one or two different entries. I still feel like a schmuck for dropping full price on it.

    Hey!

Let me recommend Stuff White People Like by Christian Lander if you want a quick pick-me-up read. It was hilarious. I think you'd like it. :)

Really? Her book is just like her husband's? What is her point then, Foer for "chicks"?! That is really disappointing to hear. If I want to read Foer, I'll read him, not some Foer knock off. I was hoping you'd recommend About a Boy. I loved the movie. Is it like the movie much?

    Hey it's me babysmacky here!

I always seem to agree with you on what you thought about books, and since we have some common reads, I was wondering, what did you think about "The History of Love" and what Nick Hornby book would you recommend to me? Thanks and talk to you soon!

Hi and hope you are enjoying Summer! I wanted to say "thanks" in advance. We have read some of the same very good books and I've been looking for one to hook me. I thought of checking your faves and stumbled across "Loud" and it's peaked my interest. I'm off to Half Price Books on a mission!

My husband is reading Shantaram now so I'm getting to enjoy it a second time. I wanted to let you know I agreed with your comment on the dragging towards the end. It didn't stop my from loving the book but I would have preferred a little less about how honourable mafia types are...

Hi! Okay, I will have to give the Kushiel books a try. With Anne Rice...I have to admit that I tend to skim the racy scenes. Some of her stuff does go a little too far for me...
Poor kitty! I'm so happy you were able to rescue him:) Cats have a funny way of forcing themselves into your life... it's really hard to imagine your life without them:)

    Hi Myrea,
Thanks for the friend invite! I've just been checking out your shelf...it's very diverse and cool:) We've got a lot of books in common. I see you have several of the Kushiel books...I've almost bought the first one many times, but always put it down again. Are these good? I'm worried that will be a little, um, racy...!
I love, love, love the picture of the cat! Is he/she yours? I have three cats myself...it's kind of like living in a three-ring circus!!
