The Secret is pretty heavy stuff, for me at least. And your friend is right, there would be instances when you won't be able to understand half the stuff written on there - but it's awesome, nonetheless.

I've been meaning to read The Last Lecture for a while now, but I wasn't able to get a copy at my local bookstore 'cause it's out of stock. I've heard good reviews about it from my teachers, that's why I've been itching to read it. Oh well :P haha.

You and I have quite a few things in common. For one thing, I hate starting the book and NOT finishing it. Even if I don't like the story, I still HAVE TO FINISH it for the sake of the hours I already spent on reading the first half, you know what I mean? HAHA.

HIIIII :) I've been good. And you?
I've been keeping myself busy with random books I find lying around. I just started reading "The Secret" which is totally awesome. And I've been hooked on that.

I am definitely not starting Naked Lunch soon, I dislike when authors write like that. I just felt that way a few days ago while reading the Crying of Lot 49, it might be the most confusing thing I've read. I felt lost until the last quarter of the book. I feel the same about unfinished books. I get worried that if I stop reading a book prior to finishing it I might miss something that would perhaps make me really like it.

What are some good books that you have read recently?

I'm only about 40 pages in - but I'm enjoying it so far. I read Midnight's Children a few years ago and loved it.

I don't often read short stories. I am reading a book of short stories that tie in with the Sookie Stackhouse books. Usually if I read short stories I like to read ones about ghosts. I've read a few of the stories from 20th Century Ghosts and I enjoyed them.

If I can't finish a book I usually just remove it. I don't mark it as read because it's cheating lol. I try to finish books, but if I don't get into them I just sit there and wish I was reading something else.

I read One Flew in high school so it's been a few years but I remember enjoying it. Of course I read it after seeing the movie, but that didn't matter to me.
