I'm interested in a wide variety of books. I tend to lean towards fantasy, historical fiction, and science fiction. However, that doesn't begin to touch on all the books that I have and want to read. I read ebooks on my iPod (through the Nook and Kindle apps) however I feel that nothing can replace the wonderfulness that is a living, breathing book.
This library is a mixture of books that I read for myself, books I read for my children, and of course, the many, many books I hope to read in the future. I dabble in writing myself and have dreams of one day writing my own novel, though my attention span dictates otherwise.
This year (2011) my goal is to read 50 books. As of June, I'm roughly 30 books in!
I love book recommendations so if you've read something and loved it, or heard of something that seems to fit my tastes, please, fill me in! I also like to read new and emerging authors, so long as the book is well-written. I don't like poorly written books that pay no attention to proper grammar and spelling and absolutely despise books written in "text speech".
