The Last Straw

“Well, it's nice for the most part, except for the drawings. The drawings are... dull. But then, I might be biased because I don't really read children's books that much. I finished it in a day, quite surprising because it usually takes more time for me to finish reading books that don't interest me. And to be honest, I didn't pay attention to the drawings while reading, because like I said I find it dull.”

The Time Traveler's Wife

“For almost two months I’ve been trying my best to finish reading The Time Traveler’s Wife but today I realized I really can’t finish it. One more word I read from that book and I swear I’ll barf. I just wasted my 180 pesos. (I bought it at Booksale. Their books has lower price than in most bookstores.)

At first it was okay, but when I arrived at the middle I had a hard time following the story. The label Claire/Henry/Claire bothered me to no end. It’s as though it’s not a novel but an outline of a novel. I really thought it was nice because my friends keep on saying it is, but… :|

I don’t want to close my doors completely to Audrey Neffenegger just yet since this is just her first novel.

And yes, I’ll still watch the movie even though I didn’t finish the book. The trailer is nice so…. I just hope the movie would be nicer than the book.
