“Again a book that I enjoyed more than many mainstream books. The author is new, and you can tell in some parts where the writing doesn't quite line up, but the book is edited well otherwise and excellent. My biggest concern was that the author made the main character a bit shallow - most of her depth is put into a lesbian relationship in the book, and I felt that the other areas of her character were underdeveloped or are just added for convenience sake (for example she is able to throw together a business contract after having only military training). This doesn't take too much from the story but I hope it is something which is improved in the next book. Before you take this review as too negative, I did want to note that I couldn't put it down and read it in a single setting, and give it a 4/5.”
