    WOW this teacher is wild..lol hahaha butt she is the best..butt dnt get on her bad side b/c it could get veryyy ugly.. lol she is the best and i hope that she stays there for my sister so my sister can have the best teacher (Ms. Wrobel)

    Hi! Just touching base, seeing how your summer is going (besides quickly!!!!). I have been ignoring my family and reading like a fiend all summer. Not like they would let me ignore them, but I tried. I look forward to talking to you about some of the new stuff I have read. Perhaps a Starbucks before school starts??     In lieu of the big trip out West, we are trying to plan a one-week trek in the Adirondacks to do right at the end of August when, if all goes as planned, my leg should be back to hundred percent. It's a little nuts to do it right before school starts, but I think if we get our planning done early, we should be alright. How's Baltimore?

    Hi Lydia, Unfortunately the trip is off. Tearing a muscle is more dramatic than it sounds! I'm reading a lot though. I have to confess that I think all of the hype surrounding Twilight is WAY overrated and I disliked it more than my review suggests, but I decided to be generous so as not to alienate any future Stephanie Meyer fans! I'm completely taken with Hunter S. Thompson at the moment, however. Hope all is well. ~Jeanne

    Hey Lydia, how's that summer reading going? I stupidly tore a muscle in my calf the night before the last day of school so I've been doing nothing but reading. I read Twilight because it was so popular with the girls who read set last year. Is there anything else you would recommend that I check out?

    Hey Lydia-
    I'm having some tech tard problems but I am determined to iron them out. I am planning on reading Crank this summer because I know it's a very popular book. I'm also going to go for Twilight. What do you think about Twilight, Sabriel by Garth Nix and The Absolutely True Diary of a Part time Indian by Sherman Alexie as beginning ideas for next year's book club? I see that you have the Geography of Bliss on your to read. That is on my mile long Amazon list to read. I heard about it in an NPR interview and it sounded really interesting. I've actually contemplated moving to Iceland because of it. Of course my husband won't go for it.
