Dracula: Hearts of Stone
It’s a tale of vampires and wizards oh my.
Its a good book May 30, 2012
“Liked this book. Quite the money's worth; one of those rare occasions when you feel you did not go wrong with an indie.”
The sequel Dracula: Hearts of Fire is now available.
The adventure continues as 12-year-old Jenny goes out in search of herself and to learn the ways of wizards. Dracula is happier than he has been in centuries but he senses that big trouble is on the horizon.
Novels by A. J. Gallant include …
Madman in the Mirror: What happens when a serial killer brings up his child to be just like him?
Dracula: Hearts of STONE
Dracula: Hearts of FIRE

Madman in the Mirror is delightfully different.
“A very unique and well written book- MADMAN IN THE MIRROR is on a class by itself- and that is a very impressive class at that- A.J. is a master at creating word images that remain with the reader long after the book is finished- the true sign of a great writer!!”
Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford has been chosen as the Good Reads selection for December-January. The discussion should be posted shortly after the first week of the month. In the meantime, we are still discussing Major Pettigrew's Last Stand. Thank you for contributing.
Hi Ms. M! Yes, I am planning to take my RATS Book Club to TBF this year. Luckily, it has so far been free every year. Your student assistants would love it. Remember to get approval for a field trip really early - sometimes those things can take a while to go through the system. :) I just read Give Up The Ghost by Megan Crewe. It was a good book - I recommend it because it's a nice mix of realistic and fantasy.
Welcome to Good Reads, Ms. Marong.
We are glad you joined and want to encourage you to participate. In September, we read and discussed The Vagrants by Yiyun Li. In October, we are reading and discussing Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay. Next month we will be reading Major Pettigrew's Last Stand.
The group profile should give you an idea of how Good Reads works and the shelf provides a list of some of the other books we have read. Please feel free to post to any of the older book discussions as well as the new.
And, don't forget to vote for the December read when we post the list of candidates.
Meghan! Hi! :) Thanks for the update - it's always a joy to hear from you! I'm glad to hear things are well and that you're excited about what's going on. Good luck w/ the Battle... let me know how it goes! By any chance, are you going to the Teen Book Festival on Saturday? tbflive.org We are taking 30 kids on the bus! I have the Bone graphic novels in the library, but, of course, still haven't had time to read them... but they are quite popular. Good luck w/ the summer class. I have lots going on... working on my tenure portfolio presentation, and I am planning to move by the end of June (mostly so I can get a dog, but also because I don't feel like dealing with the mice that have arrived... again). Keep me posted! [3 Lydia
